Update:
Thank you for your prayers!! God answered! My dad's surgery went beyond well. It was completed in half the time it usually takes, he didn't need a valve replaced so he won't need to be on blood thinners as originally thought, and he is already in the recovery process. He will be in the hospital the rest of the week and then able to go home where he will be recovering the next couple of months.
We are so thankful for the many prayers that were prayed and words of encouragement and faith. May the glory of God continue to be shown through trials such as these...He is always faithful.

Hey everyone, I promise to have an update on here as soon as possible...things have been quite busy but are going very well and we can't wait to share more with you. But for now, I just have a quick prayer request so we are asking everyone we know to please be praying so please spread the word!

My (Cortney) dad is having open heart surgery tomorrow at 7:30am so please pray that everything would go well and that his recovery would be beyond the norm! He will be in the hospital for 2 weeks and then home for a couple of months recovering. This is a serious surgery but he has a good surgeon so we are trusting that he is in good hands and of course in God's!
It is hard for us to not be able to be home and with family at this time, but we are putting everything in God's hands and know that He is control!
