PRAYER REQUEST AND PRAISE REPORT:
Hello! Today we will be leaving for our first retreat for students here in Trondheim so I wanted to ask you to please keep us in your prayers! We have 21 Norwegians attending and Chuck Haavik is back visiting as well as John Koeshall (Students for Christ Europe). It is going to be a Prayer Retreat and we are headed up to a cabin a half hour from here until Sunday. The focus will be on prayer, being alone with God, Loving God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and moving in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
This is for ages 19+ only and there has not been anything like this for this age group here so please be praying that all who attend would be touched powerfully with God, would grow in Him, and would build amazing friendships with each other. It's going to be so fun! But we need your prayers that God's will would be done and every person would leave transformed.
Thank you! We look forward to updating you with pictures and stories when we get back!
Also: Praise Report: On Wednesday night we had a gathering that two of our students coordinated for leaders (some students, some pastors) of many of the different churches doing some kind of student work in the city. 25 people showed up and this is the first time this has happened here. We had dinner, shared what each of us was doing and hoped to do to reach the universities here, and then spent time hearing for New Generation representative for Norway, and talking and prayer together. It was so awesome to be in one place and to share the same passion, even though we were coming from different places. We decided that we want to try to gather together at least once a month to pray and cry out for the universities here, as well as share creative ideas about how we can work together and benefit from each other's resources. We can do so much more for the kingdom of God when we let His heart unify us and we share the common goal of seeing students come to Christ! Keep praying that God would open more monumental doors such as this and a generation would be raised up to take this city for His glory and cover it with His love. Woohoo! Things are happening... our prayers are being heard so thank you for praying!!!!
Blessings to you and be encouraged that God is most definitely on the move.... :)
